We've long said, "Times are tough," but now they're tougher. And still we want to give to the people we love. Still we want to care for our world.
Each year, in Whatcom County, Washington, several faith communities work together to bring you our Multi-Faith Alternative Holiday Market. We're inviting you, the community, to join us and we're giving you the opportunity to learn about some wonderful organizations, sign-up to help them out, make donations, and do some fair trade shopping while you:
Support local causes, like the Bellingham Food Bank, Brigid Collins, Boys & Girls Club of Whatcom County, Conservation Northwest, Marianne's House, Sean Humphrey House, Fair Trade Foods, Fair Trade Haven, WomenCare Shelter, Whatcom Peace and Justice Center, Opportunity Council (and Fresh Start Espresso), NW Indian College Foundation, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, Whatcom Land Trust, Meals on Wheels, Whatcom Volunteer Center, Whatcom Homeless Service Center, and Whatcom Human Rights Task Force.
Support far reaching causes, like Amnesty International, Bread for the World, Church World Service, Children of Peace Foundation, Slum Doctor Programme, Atfaluna, SERRV, Centro Santa Catalina, Beads for Life, and Make a Wish Foundation.
Come join in the fun and the belief that we're doing something good...loving God's world and her creatures, while celebrating our holiest of days. And, we're doing it together.
