All are welcome to participate in our programs
First Christian Church in Bellingham welcomes all who wish to participate in a Christian community. People come from a wide variety of backgrounds, beliefs, ages, orientations, and abilities to experience the love of God through worship, study, service, and fellowship.
First Christian Church is a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Through our denomination, we are able to serve the wider world. We are also a part of the caring and serving interfaith community of Bellingham.
You may wish to first participate with us in worship at one of our Sunday worship services. Or you may rather initiate your participation in one of our other programs such as gardening, book discussions, etc. Please review this web site for further information - including the newsletter and calendar. If you have more questions please call the church office (360 734-6820).
Sunday Worship Services
We have a blended worship service at 11:00 AM. We also have a Taize' service from 7 to 7:30 PM on the first and third Sunday evening of each month.
Sunday Classes
Classes include Adult Bible Study, Adult General Studies, Young Adults (in their late teens or 20's), Youth (Middle School and High School ages), and Younger Children. These classes meet at 9:30 AM on Sundays.
Outreach Services
We participate in a variety of local community outreach programs including the C.A.S.T. feeding program, Interfaith Cold Weather Shelter, a community garden, and temporary housing through the Disciple House located on our property. An interfaith day camp for children is held at our church in late June. We also support international missions through Global Ministries in cooperation with the United Church of Christ. More information is available through links in the lists to the left and top of this page.
